Captain Samuel Patch served with 9th Massachusetts Bay Provincial Regiment (1775), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Captain Samuel Patch of Stow was at Bunker Hill serving in Col. William Prescott's 9th Massachusetts Bay Provincial Regiment. He continued to serve with Prescott through 1776 in the 7th Continental Regiment. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

Samuel Patch was born on January 6, 1730 in Concord, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay. His parents were Jonathan Patch and Lydia Herrick. [7]

He married Lydia Walcott on April 22, 1766. [8] [9] [10]

Together they had these children, all but last born in Stow: [8] [9]

  10. Jonathan Patch, b. Sept. 24, 1781.
