Robert died 27 August 1839 in Romulus, Michigan. He was buried in the Tyler Street Cemetery in Van Buren Township, Wayne County, Michigan. [2] Inscription: “PVT, MASS CONTINENTAL LINE, MINUTEMAN FROM GROTTON”

His grave and Mass Vital records give his birth as Feb 15. Son of Robert Parker and Deborah Hubbard who were married in Westford Aug 13 1745 "both of Groton". Robert (sr) was born in Groton Jan 20, 1720 son of John and Johanna. That might be John Parker and "Jonna" Ames who married in Groton May 22, 1719. John, in turn, MAY be the son of Joseph and Hannah Blood b Groton Aug 26, 1695.
Odd that I have not run across them in my travels. Where on earth did they pick the name "Robert" from, that doesn't seem to fit the family's pattern.
