Biography

The son of Jeremiah Osgood and Lucy (Churchill) Osgood, William Osgood born in Farmington, Connecticut on October 14, 1770.^[1].^[2]

William married Magdalene (Covert) Osgood in 179^[3] and making their home in Ovid Township, New York.^{[4][5][6][7][8][9]}

He fought with the 40th Regiment (Myers') of the New York Militia during the War of 1812, serving as a Private.^[10]

William Osgood passed away in Ovid, New York^{[citation needed]} at the age of 52 and is buried at McNeal Cemetery in Ovid.^[11]
