Private James Murch served with 2nd Regiment, Cumberland County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

James Murch was born on August 29, 1760 in Gorham, Cumberland, Maine.^[1] He is a son of Walter Murch and Jerusha Brown.

He married Jenny Bailey in 1785.^[2] and they had these children in Gorham, Cumberland, Maine:
