Biography
Silas was born in 1862. He was the son of Silas McWhorter and Mary King. He passed away in 1943.
He married Sarah Catherine Dozer on 2 November 1882 in Vinton, Ohio. Their children were Harvey Gilbert McWhorter (1883–1962), Eura C. McWhorter (1884–1956),Della F. (McWhorter) Duffy (1887–1941), James Floyd McWhorter (1894–1987) and Dessie Ann McWhorter (1899–1919).
Silas passed away on 30 December 1943 in Jackson, Jackson, Ohio followed with burial at the Fairview Cemetery in Ray, Vinton, Ohio.
