Biography
Martha Malissa McWhorter was born on May 23, 1849, in Liberty, South Carolina. She married William Anderson Looper in 1865 but he died in 1871. She then married Joseph Walten Young (1853–1936) about 1874. She died on March 14, 1889, in Huntington, Arkansas, at the age of 39, and was buried in Sebastian, Arkansas.[1]
