Biography
Thomas Luce was born in Wiltshire, England.
Thomas was born in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, England on 18th August 1877. He was the son of William Luce and his wife Emily (nee Sopwith). [1]
In the 1881 and 1891 Censuses he was recorded as living at home with his parents and siblings. [2]
Military Service
On 1st December 1902 Thomas was admitted the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC). He remained a member of B Battery until 8th May 1905, when he resigned. During the First World War Thomas served with the Shropshire Yeomanry, receiving his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant on 14th February 1915. [3]
Thomas died aged 47 on 23rd April 1925 in Sydenham, London, and is buried in Malmesbury Cemetery. [4] [5]
