Robert Ladner was born around 1755 in Middlesex, New Jersey.[1] The identity of his parents is not yet known.
On 11 Aug 1774, he married Elizabeth Martin.[2][1]
Robert and Elizabeth may have had several children, but only one child is proven through the DAR applications of her descendants:
Robert was a soldier of the American Revolution.[1] Enlisted in mid-1776 as a Private, he served five months in Captain Webster's New Jersey Company; he was in the battles of Long Island and White Plains. He also served, during 1777 - 1781, on short tours amounting to at least fourteen months in all, in the 1st Regiment, Middlesex County Militia, New Jersey. He served under Captains Thomson Stelle, William Lupardus, Hugh Dunn, and Ross; Colonel Webster commanding. He was in the battles of King's Bridge and Monmouth.[2][3]
In 1793, he is listed in the June Tax List for Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.[4]
Robert Ladner passed away on 15 Feb 1830 in Piscataway Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey.[1][2]
