I have improved the sources on the profile so that other researchers can confirm the veracity of the records of David Knox for themselves. I removed the reference to the possible fraudulent reference in the notes. I hope this helps with any confusion regarding a "fraudulent pedigree".

It's possible that the "Media Resource Bureau" information (published in 1967) that was formerly mentioned in this profile was valid, but chances are good that it was part of a fraudulent pedigree, and that someone will show up and use it to build out this man's family history.

David Knox's profile is NOT fraudulent. I had included a research note that mentioned the Media Research Bureau which tagged this profile with the category. The sources of this profile are state vital records and census records. I was asked to not remove the category so I did not but to reiterate, this profile is not fraudulent.

I am adding Category: Media Research Bureau, Washington, DC, Fraud to this profile to alert people interested in this profile to the possibility that information about this man and his family (whether in this profile or found in another source) may have been contaminated by Media Research Bureau fraud.

Please do not remove the category.
