Biography

There are no sources for John's birth or death. He is a fifth generation descendant of the Mayflower passenger Stephen Hopkins; and, his parents are John King and Bathshua (Snow) King.^[1] John was married twice. His first wife was Mary (Bangs) King whom he married on 30 May 1726.^[2] Mary died three days after the birth of their last child on 12 Apr 1734.^[3] John's second wife was Margaret Lincoln. ^[4][5] They were married on 28 Nov 1745 in Harwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay Colony.
