Samuel Johnson was killed in the Mansfield Iron Mine In rush of Water on 9/28/1893

Samuel was one of twenty-seven miners killed on 28 Sept 1893 in the Mansfield Iron Mine disaster. The miners were drowned when an inrush of water flooded the mine. He is commemorated at Mansfield Mine Memorial, Mansfield, Iron County, Michigan.[1]

Identity uncertain, these are possible men or miners living in Michigan who have no known death date on Family Search. There were hundreds of Samuel Johnsons living in Michigan in 1880. Eliminate each one and move on.
