Biography

Isaac was born in 1796, possibly in Virginia, USA to parents Thomas Janes and Mary Waters (source needed.)

He can be found in the 1850 US Census living in Washington County, Kentucky, age 52 married to Nancy Martha Barlow Janes, age 49, working as a farmer. ^[1]

The following children are likely theirs, although the eldest do not appear by name on the 1840 census ^[2] or in the 1850 census in their home, the household member numbers of 1840 indicate there were multiple children of those ages.
