Biography

1776 Project
Jeremiah Hadley performed Patriotic Service in North Carolina in the American Revolution.

Jeremiah Hadley was born in 1741 in Pennsylvania, [1] [2]

Note on Quaker dates: Jeremiah's birth date given in HINSHAW is "7 1m 1741". An explanation of Quaker dating states that the first month up till 1752 would have been March. (see List of Abbreviations found in Quaker Records by Patience Northern).

Jeremiah Hadley married in 1759 to Mary Dickey. [3]He was "dis mou" - disowned for marrying out of unity at the Cane Creek MM, 2 May 1759.[4] According to Volume III of the compiled Hadley genealogy, "Mbrs of his fam were later rec in mbrp by the MM."[5]

He died in 1786 [6] and left a last Will. [7] [8]
