Patrick was the son of John Grant and Murial Mackintosh.^[1][2]

He married a daughter of Cuming of Ersay.^[3] They had issue:

1. John, his heir
2. Catherine, m. Walter Baird of Ordinhnivas^[4]

He was still living on 8 Jun 1555.^[1]
