Charemile 'Charity' Emilia Grant was the daughter of Charles Grant, M.P., Director of the Honourable East India Company, and sister of Charles, 1st Baron Glenelg of Glenelg, co. Inverness and Sir Robert Grant, Governor of Bombay. She was born on 11 April 1785 in Bombay, India.
'Charity'married Samuel March Phillips at Marstow in Herefordshire on 16 October 1812. [1]
She died on 25 May 1826 and was buried in Bloomsbury, City of Westminster, Greater London, England.
