Military Service

Oliver Grant enlisted as a Private in Connecticut Company No. 10, 09 May 1775. He was discharged at the rank of Captain 08 Dec 1775. He enlisted again at the Rank of Captain of State Regiment under Commander Spicer and Wooster, Fourth Battalion as Captain of Troop of Horse 9th Regiment, 1769, Captain 4th Battalion 1776. Then he served from 01 Jul 1780 to 13 Dec 1780[2][12][13]

Death

Oliver Grant died 22 Mar 1798, and is buried in Great Plain Cemetery in North Stonington. [1][2][14]

Stanley, Oliver date of birth is correct but the year is wrong...should be 1729 according to History of Stonington, page 401 (#24), plus he cannot have died before he was born, if you put me on your trusted list I can fix this for you.
