Hugh Grant, son of William Grant and Janet Henderson, was born about 1824 and was baptised in Watten, Caithness, on 23 Feb 1824.[1]
In 1841 Hugh was living in Braemore in the parish of Latheron, Caithness, with his siblings James, John, Donald, William, Campbell, Margaret, Ebenezer, and David; his (presumed) grandfather John Henderson; a Christina Henderson; and John Ross.[2] See William Grant's profile for links to the profiles of these lodgers.
