Biography

My parents were divorced before I was born. I've always had an interest in my heritage. I've spent the last 25 years researching and documenting what I could find out. My biggest goal is to find my Maternal GGrandmothers family. I have no clues as to where her Grandmother was from or her maiden name, only her married name was Caroline Matilda Pittman and lived in Gadsden County, Fl. She was born in Ga. Hopefully my DNA will match someone one day.

I retired from the State of Florida and my husband retired from the Fl. Game and Fish Comm. We have a son and a daughter and one grandson.

Hello, Bunny!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Bunny and thank you for upgrading, 😊

I am very pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

It is best to start with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

You mentioned that you don’t know much about your family tree yet. I assume you are new to genealogy. No problem! Every genealogist is a beginner at some point. Take your time, keep track of sources and ask questions. Check here for tips.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.

Happy tree climbing
