Joseph Garand
He is the son of Francois Xavier Garand Jr (abt.1834-abt.1912) and Rose de Lima (Pare) Garand (1841-1907)
He appears in the 1880 census of Champlain, NY with his family and grandparents..[1]
He is mentioned in the wedding of his niece Emma (Garand) Bechard (abt.1877-1954) in 1910. He lived in Montreal, and came to the wedding with a son and daughter.
There is a Jospeh in Montreal, 1911 Canada Census Montreal, He was a detective. [2] In that census with him are

- daughter catherine b. dec 1904
- Dau Francis b. dec 1909
The record indicates they were from America, but this is crossed out. His son has same name as his brother.
