Captain Isaac Gallup served with 10th Continental Regiment (1776), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

This Isaac Gallup was born 22 Dec 1742 @ Groton, Connecticut, the second child (son) of Hannah (Avery) Gallup (1719-1799) and Benadam Gallup III (1716-1800).

American Revolutionary War service: Isaac Gallup was in the sixth Conn. reg't; first lieutenant. May 1, 1775; captain, 1776; captain in Col. Samuel McClellan's reg't, appointed Sept. 25, 1777 {Conn Men in the Rev'n, pp. 78, 99, 618).

He married 5 Oct 1786 Anna Smith, with whom he had 10 children, as profiled.

Isaac Gallup died 3 Aug 1814 at Ledyard, Connecticut. His grave is in Gallup Burying Ground, Ledyard, Connecticut.
