In his will Abednego mentions his wife Susannah and these children: Elizabeth, Oliver, Polly Grayson, Hubbard, Hannah, James Earp, Caleb Earp, Martha Davison, Wright Earp, Emily Kilby, Martin Earp.
During the Revolution he served as a private in the company commanded by Capt. Smith of the Regt. commanded by General Cates. Served in the state militia of Virginia for 12 mos. Served from Alexandria, old District of Columbia (now in Fairfax Co., Virginia.)
States he was born in county of Fairfax, State of Virginia in 1763, lived at Fairfax when he enlisted, then during the war lived partly in that county, partly in Pittsylvania County, Virginia and partly in Wilkes County, North Carolina, where he now lives.
