To see James Duane's New York City farm and formal garden, go to: https://nahc-mapping.org/mappingNY/ . Click on the Ratzer Map of 1766, and head North on the Bowry Lane until just before the Road to Kings Bridge branches off. He's on the East side of the Bowry Lane.

There is an interesting potential for understanding New York history, by studying the activities of Sir William Johnson, James Duane, and William Cooper, as landlords.

Adelia D Pell appears in hundreds of real estate transactions, in New York.

Could the project please add Adelia Duane Pell Duane-148 as his daughter?

Alexander also lists five children who died young. Sarah 1764-71, Anthony Livingston 1766-70, Robert Livingston I 1767-68, Robert Livingston II 1769-74, Anthony 1777-77.

I would feel a lot better about making connections like that one on a PPP profile if at least one of the profiles had biographical text, with footnoted sources, to support the facts. I started to add Adelia as a child, but I got an error message alerting to me that her birth date does not accord with the birth dates of her children. If her birth date is wrong (as is implied by a note on her profile), I suggest that you revise/expand her biography (which currently says only "Adelia was born in 1765. She passed away about 1860.") to tell more of her life story, with footnote citations for the sourced information and discussion of what is known and what is inferred.

Findagrave is a poor source for Adelia, since the photo of the crypt entrance is the only verifiable content for her; that Findagrave page should not be deferred to as if it was a reliable source.

I am working on Adelia's profile. The Duane daughters are notable for the lack of readily available records
