Hello Samantha, I think you may have accidentally entered yourself into the Occupations by Name category. That's supposed to be for the alphabetical names of the occupations, not for individual profiles.

If you were trying to give yourself a quick link to get back to the category often, you might try putting a : at the front of your link, like this: [ [:Category: Occupations by Name] ] (but without the extra spaces)

Wanted to update, since I started my wikitree 5 years ago I have learned so much about my maternal grandmothers side. Last month I finally decided to take 2 DNA tests and become an Ancestry member to search for international records. I have been able to progress my research past my maternal grandmothers side and explore the Dear (maternal grandfathers side) family significantly more. Please be patient because I'm sure it will take me another 5 years to update his side! But I am still working on building profiles that future generations can use to fuel their research.  :)

Hi Samantha,

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

Take care

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure

no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please [http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pre-1700_Profiles read our

Pre-1700 profiles info].

Hello!

Please be patient with me, I'm working on a not so great phone, but I'm doing so because I feel geaneology is important. It's not only important for future generations, but to me , personaly. I want to know where I came from, where my family came from 200 years ago. Lastly, I want to help make it easier for people like myself by plugging in what I know so their search is less of a headache then mines proved to be. And hopefully, I'll get some collaboration, swap stories and be able to give future generations more details, so they can feel like they knew us, and because I wish my ancestors kept better records. Thank's, Samantha
