When Elizabeth "Lizzie" Davis was born on May 31, 1865, in Manorcunningham, Donegal, Ireland, her father, Robert Davis, was 26, and her mother, Mary Fletcher0, was 22.

She married Samuel Logan Beattie on December 20, 1882, in Saline, Missouri. They had five children in 18 years. She was buried in Debolt Cemetery, Arnett, Oklahoma.
