When Mary Elizabeth Davis was born on 17 May 1849, in Charlotte, Virginia, United States, her father, Solomon Davis, was 29 and her mother, Elizabeth Francis Gross, was 22.[1]
In 1850, Mary lived with her parents and a sister and an older woman in Marysville, Charlotte, Virginia, United States.[2]
She married James Patton Thompson Jr. on 31 January 1866, in Tazewell, Virginia, United States.[3]
They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters.[4]
She lived in Clear Fork District, Tazewell, Virginia, United States for about 40 years[5][6][7][8] and Bluefield, Tazewell, Virginia, United States in 1920.[9]
She died on 7 January 1926, in Northfork, McDowell, West Virginia, United States, at the age of 76,[10] and was buried in Tazewell, Virginia, United States.[11]
