Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

The Ireland Project (previously the Irish Roots Project) has now changed its structure into Teams. We require everyone with the Ireland Badge to be a member of at least one Team or Sub-Team and our google group. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Ireland for details. The Teams are :-
? Can you let me know if youd like to stay on in the new project and which team(s) youd like to join. Please also let me know your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the projects Google Group or confirm you are already a member of the google group.
Many thanks,
Maria
We are 22th cousins, and we share a common ancestor: Fernando III King of Castile & Leon Spain. Fernando Alfónsez de Castilla (1201 - 1252). Wikitree ID: Castilla-105.
Hes one of our 23rd great-grandfathers, making us 24th cousins, even though were connected by different lines of Cruzs.
Please, check him out by running my profile in the relationship finder in your menu to verify. Be sure to select "SEARCH 30 GENERATIONS."
Then, you'll see that it gets even better. We also share 29 other common ancestors listed in the gold bordered box on that search page. Because the monarchy married internationally, you will find other Kings and other monarchs who are your ancestors from Spain, France, Germany & England, Russia, etc.
Not sure how? Please let me know
Ive added the Irish Roots Project badge to your profile. If you click on the badge it will take you to the full list of our wonderful members. Click on Irish Roots Project will take you to the first page of the project. I've added your good self to the member interest page. Here you can let others know which counties or names you are researching etc.
Thanks for joining the project and good luck with your research.
Maria
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Have fun! As you add family profiles, you can use the green tabs near the top of each profile to find out what info will be visible to others - just toggle between private and public views.
Ask for help if you need it. Most WikiTree members are eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist. If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

P.S. Here's my favorite WikiTree page about sources.
Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research youd like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, youll see a Volunteer option on your profile page. Click that and leave us a short message about your genealogical interests, on your profile page. A Greeters Project volunteer will be happy to confirm your membership, and youll be on your way!
Welcome to the family! Were really glad youre here.
