Biography

Daniel Cooper, Jr. was born January 14, 1729 in Middlesex County, New Jersey, a son of Daniel Cooper, Esq. and his first wife Grace Runyon. Daniel married first Miss Conover and they had a daughter. In 1755, he married Anna “Nancy” Cross (1737-1805); they had twelve known children.

Daniel passed away May 25, 1787 and was buried at Old Cemetery, Long Hill, Morris County, New Jersey.

The Cooper graves stones are now located at Cooper Family Memorial Park.

NOTE: Daniel had died prior to the execution of his father’s Will. The codicil to this will revoked legacies to the children of son Daniel, and instead granted bequests to granddaughters Lydia Cooper Annin and Mary Cooper Crane both daughters of Daniel Cooper Jr.
