Joseph was born in 1754. He is the son of Benjamin Cole and Jane Mitchell.

Cole, Joseph. Private, Capt. Nathaniel Fales's co. ; enlisted Aug. 3, 1779; discharged Aug. 15, 1779; service, 13 days; company marched to Majorbagaduce by order of Gen. Lovel. [1]
