William was born on 8th June 1896 at Gundagai, New South Wales, Australia. He was the son of Andrew Paton and Mary Bunt.[1]
He married Nellie Jackson in 1923.[2]
William served in the Australian Imperial Force during the Great War; enlisted 19th February 1918, returned to Australia 10th July 1919.[3] He was a member of the 10th Light Horse Regt, 3rd Bde, Aust Mtd Div.[4]
He passed away in 1952 at Wagga Wagga, New South Wales.[5]
