Benjamin served as a private in General Sullivan's Life Guard was killed in battle on August 29, 1778 [3][4]aged 36, and is buried in the North Burial Ground at Providence. [2]
In the division of his father Obadiah Sr.s' estate, his portion was given to his widow Elizabeth and their two daughters, Martha and Nancy. [1]
