Biography

Cora Brown was the youngest of six daughters born to Mary Carr and Rev, David Brown,^[1] In 1848, Rev. Brown arrived in Carr Township, Jackson, Indiana, where Cora was born on 26 April 26 of 1868.

Her father was said to have married more couples than any other Preacher in the State of Indiana,^[2] but did not officiate at the marriage of Cora and John Roche on September 20, 1888,^[3] Cora and John had 2 children before John died in 1900. Cora then returned to the homestead of her parents,^[4] where she lived until marrying Freeland Trueblood in 1905.^[5]

Cora and Freeland moved to Knox indiana where he died in 1912. Cora then goes to live with son Franklin, who is also living in Knox, where she remains until sometime after 1940 ^[6] when she moves to Los Angeles where her son Cliff is living. She dies there on April 22, 1950. ^[7]
