Biography

Richard Brent, an elder son of Richard Brent (d. 1652) by his wife Elizabeth (Reade) Brent,[1] married in 1622 Margaret Peshall, daughter of Sir John Peshall. 1st Bt.[2]

Richard Brent of Lark Stoke, Gloucestershire, made his last will and testament on 22 July 1676, naming his daughter Margaret wife of Thomas Bartlet, apothecary of Evesham; his sisters Katherine (Christina) Brent and Eleanor (Helena) Brent; and making his son and heir Robert Brent his residual beneficiary and sole executor. The will with a codicil dated 27 October 1678 was proved by Robert Brent in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury in London on 10 May 1679.[3]

Research Notes

The death date of 20 June 1666 originally on this profile cannot be correct in view of the date of his will and probate.
