Daughter of John William Bloom and his wife Susan Mary Wade. Rosie Bloom was their seventh known child, born while they lived in Iowa for a short time.
By 1890 the family had moved to Colorado, where they settled in Weld County, in the Fort Collins area.
In 1898, Rose Bloom married Edgar Byron Ratcliff at Windsor, Weld County, Colorado. In 1900 they were at Windsor, Weld Cnty, CO; in 1910 they were at Stratton, Hitchcock Cnty, Co; and in 1920 they were at LaPorte, Larimer Cnty, Co. Edgar's occupation was farm laborer and farmer. Eventually they settled in the Sterling, Logan County, Colorado area.
Edgar Ratcliff died in 1938 in Logan County, Colorado and Rose died in 1955 at Sterling, Logan County, Colorado. They are both buried at the Riverside Cemetery, Sterling, Logan County, Colorado.
