Biography
I am the last descendant of my maternal grandfather, David Russell Chase, who himself was the last male descendant of his Chase line going back to the first William Chase who arrived on the Arbella with the Winthrop Fleet in 1630. When my younger brother died unexpectedly in 2017, my interest in our family genealogy grew. My mother had entrusted me with the family photographs and tintypes, the documents, and a trove of letters from her Chase great-grandfathers dating back to 1878. Because I have no one to pass this along to and I am now the last of this line, I'm hoping to make public what I know. My ancestors had fascinating stories, and I hope they won't be forgotten. I will be adding to this as I go along. I have built an extensive tree on Ancestry.com over the past five years and am now beginning to build one here.
