Research Notes

Note that, while the Veterans Cemetery Records denote him as "Captain" Seth Blanchard, the Rosters of Revolutionary War Soldiers and Sailors record that "Private" Seth Blanchard served on the Penobscot Expedition. Possibly, he attained the rank of captain later in his career.
