George was born in 1926. He was the son of Parker Bent and Lily Schofield. He passed away in 1996.
BENT, George Lamont - 69, Central Clarence, Annapolis Co., died May 3, 1996, at home. Born in Forest Glade, he was a son of the late Parker D. and Lily (Schofield) Bent. He was one of Annapolis County's successful dairy farmers. He farmed all his life starting on the Bent family farm in Forest Glade and gradually acquired four farms. He had a keen sense of responsibility and integrity and held many positions in his church, his community and farming organizations. Surviving are his wife, the former Donna R. Baker; daughters, Ruth Carson, Lanark, Ont.; Brenda, North Sydney; sons, David, Middleton; Allen, Upper Clarence; sisters, Doris, Muriel, Middleton; Enid Baker, Margaretville; Kath (Mrs. John Osbourne), Waterville, Maine; Anna (Mrs. Harold Skaling), Wilmot; Marion Lundgren, Portland, Maine; Phyllis, Wolfville; brothers, Murray, Derwent, Alberta; Roy, New Glasgow; Alden, Dover-Foxcroft, Maine; Forrest, Wolfville; Gerald, Dartmouth; nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Evelyn, Jean. Visitation 3-4 p.m. Sunday, memorial service 2 p.m. Tuesday, both in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, Dr. Bill MacDougall officiating. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery Middleton. Family flowers only. Donations to Emmanuel Congregational Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any charity.
