Sarah Ann Bent was born in 1850 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England, United Kingdom, daughter of James Bent (~1819–1893) and Ann Mebberson (~1818–1890).[1]
Sarah married Jonathan Shipley (born about 1840 in Leicester; son of William Shipley and Sarah (Blake) Shipley). Their daughter was Verna Shipley (1887– ).
In the 1881 census Sarah (age 30) was the wife of Jonathan Shipley in Leicester St Nicholas, Leicestershire, England.[2]
