Biography

Clementina Bent was born in 1797 in Amherst, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, daughter of John Bent (1747 - 1823) and Mary (Lunt) Bent (~1745 - ~1811).

Clementina married Gilbert Purdy (born in Fort Lawrence, Cumberland on 27 Apr 1789; died in Fort Lawrence on 29 Sep 1858), son of Henry Purdy and Tamar Kniffen. Their daughter was Sabra Eliza Purdy (~1835 - 1909).

Clementina died on 4 Jan 1866 in Amherst aged ~68. She is buried in West Amherst Cemetery, Nova Scotia.
