Biography

Hannah Bent was born on 6 May 1661 in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony. She was the daughter of John Bent and Hannah Stone. Hannah Bent married John Adams, son of John Adams and Anne Howe, on 26 February 1680 in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Hannah Bent died before 1692.

On 26 Feb 1680 when Hannah was 18, she married John Adams, son of John Adams (4 Dec 1622-Jun 1706) & Anna Howe, in Sudbury, MA.67 Born on 1 May 1655 in Cambridge, MA. John died ca 1733/1736 in Sudbury, MA.

From Temple’s History of Framingham:342 John Adams bought 5 Jun 1683 of Gookin & How 200 acres lying between John Bent on the East, the Rice and Pratt lands on the south, taking in Jacob’s meadow, and the west line following the brook to the river, and bounded on the north by the David Stone land. He built northeast of Dr. H. Cowles’, near the railroad crossing. He was known as one of the Sudbury “out-dwellers.” Their children include: 28430i. Dea. John Adams (12 Mar 1684-ca 1754) 28431ii.
