Peter was probably the first of his siblings to be born in KY after his family migrated from Conewago. Theodore Banta mentions on p. 163 that he was known as "Sugar Pete", married a second time to Mary Miles and lists ten children:

Henry Co., Kentucky Deed Book 14, pages 23-to top of page 27 (Images 41-43), the years 1828 and 1830 are mentioned. This record verifies the maiden name of Charity (Banta) wife of David Cox. Charity and siblings Sally (Banta) Brown and Peter A. Banta are named as heirs of Abraham Banta Deceased.
Peter was born about 1782. He passed away about 1851.
