Sara (Banta) Dye was born in 1833, daughter of Peter Banta (1800–~1852) and Elizabeth (Brown) Banta (1803–1849).

Sara had a brother, Joseph L Banta (1830–1892).

Sara died in 1915, aged 81. She was buried in Roselawn Cemetery.^{[1] [2]}
