I Benjamin Baker of the Town of Fishersfield �in the County of Hillsborough and State of New Hampshire�testify and declare upon oath that I enlisted into �the Service of the United States in the Revolutionary�War about? the last of April 1775 for eight months �and served in Capt John Moor’s Company�in Colo John Stark’s Regiment until�Sometime in Nove or Dece previous? to my�first enlistment of 8 months expiring when �I again enlisted into the Service of the United�States for one year’s Service and Served? during?�the year? 1776 in Capt Samuel Richard’s �Company in the Regiment commanded by �Colo John Stark, in the Revolutionary War�on the inental establishment in the �New Hampshire line of Troops until the�last on Nove or first of Dece 1776 when I�received a regular permit? to leave the Service�and was honorably dismissed? from the Service�aforesaid? at Mount Independence. I was�dismissed? the Service about one month before�my enlistment expired on account of Sickness.�I further testify that I am Sixty five years�of age - very infirm and in very reduced�circumstances in life and stand in need �of assistance from my county for Support.
I further say that I have state�with verylittle? so little that�I have not been taxed Since A. D. 1816?�for anything except my Poll-Tax?

Dear Madam:
I advise you that from the papers in the Revolutionary�War pension claim, S. 45516, it appears Benjamin Baker enlisted�the last of April 1775 and served until December as a private in�Captain John Moor’s Company, Colonel John Stark’s New Hampshire�Regiment, when he enlisted and served eleven months as a private�in Captain Samuel Richard’s Company, Colonel John Stark’s New�Hampshire Regiment; and was discharged at Mount Independence on�account of sickness about one month before the expiration of�enlistment.
He was allowed pension on his application executed�September 25, 1819, while a resident of Fishersfield, Hillsburough�County, New Hampshire, aged sixty five years.
Soldier died February 25 1820.
It is not stated that soldier ever married.
One John Baker of Fishersfield, Hillsburough County,�New Hampshire, testified in 1819, no relationship shown.
