Peter Babb was born on 14 March 1764 in Saccarappa (now Westbrook, Maine).[1].
Peter served as a private in Captain Williams' company, Colonel Vose's regiment.[2] He enlisted at Scarboro, Maine, on 20 July 1781 at age 17 and served for two years. He was wounded and then discharged.[3]
He married Thankful Bangs on 14 May 1792 in Buxton, Maine[4]. They had thirteen children[1]

13. Thankful, born 10 Apr 1821; married John Plaisted
Peter passed away on 24 June 1842 in Buxton and is buried in Highland Cemetery[5].

Family: Thankful his wife, aged 42; Anna, aged 16; Deborah, aged 14; Eliza, aged 11; Eunice, aged 9; and Peter, aged 3, all children of Peter Babb. (261).
Linage Book-National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Vol. 22, p. 194 (#21526), Peter Babb (1764-1842), was placed on the pension roll of York County, Maine, 1818, for service of Private in the Massachusetts Line. He was born in Westbrook, Maine; died in Buxton, Maine.
