Biography

Peter was born in 1735. He was the son of Thomas Babb and Sarah Foulk. He passed away in 1817.

Captain Peter Babb served with Frederick County Militia, Virginia Militia during the American Revolution.

Peter Babb is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A004178.

Peter fought in the Revolutionary War, Qualifying as a Captain in the Army, and serving in the 1st Virginia Militia, 6 Nov 1776.[1] He bought land and lived along Little Timber Ridge on the north side of Cross Junction, Frederick County. He owned extensive acreage throughout Back Creek Valley. Peter and Mary Babb had at least ten children, among whose descendants were the last Babbs to remain in Back Creek Valley. Many of the later generations converted to the Methodist Episcopal Church, which is known today as the United Methodist Church.[2]

You forgot his son Peter born Oct 18,1769 in Frederick Co,Va. Married a Jane Bell in Va.She died and he married Elizabeth Norris. He died 28 Apr. 1837 in Belmont Co.,Ohio. Their daughter Sarah married Joshua Wildman out of meeting. Ok I see it now but no lines.
