Robert William Armstrong was born in Saginaw, Michigan on 20 November 1890. He is known for his role as Carl Denham in the 1933 RKO Pictures film King Kong. At the end of this film, he said the famous last lines: "Oh no, it wasn't the airplanes. It was beauty killed the beast." He died in Santa Monica, California on 20 April 1973.
