John Andrews came to Warren with his family from Dedham, MA in 1785 and purchased McLean's estate at what was subsequently called Andrews Point.
Andrews Point was formerly McLean's Point and later Clements Point. It is the first large point on the east side of the St George river, heading south of Warren village.
John was a wheelwright by trade.
John was born in 1743. He passed away in 1816.
