Mary Anderson was born to Robert Anderson and Elizabeth Clough at the family estate of "Gold Mine" in Hanover County, Virginia. Mary married 1st Captain John "Jack" Anderson and married 2nd Reverend Elkannah Talley.

What is the source for Mary being a daughter of Robert Anderson? Before she married Elkanah Talley, she was married to John Anderson per the 1805 news clipping which I just uploaded to her profile. Mary and John Anderson had at least one son who was a minor in 1805, Benjamin Anderson.
