Valentine Felti (Felty*) Ault (Alt*) was born on Mar. 22, 1750 in New Hanover Twp. Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and died on Oct. 11, 1826 in Belmont County, Ohio, United States. His parents were from Altdorf, Switzerland, Germany and Valentine Jr. was a first generation American. "Felty" served in Revolutionary War.

He married Maria Catherine (Lua) Alt. She was born in 1758 in York County, Pennsylvania and died on Sept. 4, 1801. Catherine Lau was the daughter of Peter Lau.

They had eight children together.

Valentine Ault was born March 22, 1750, in New Hanover Township, Philadelphia county, Pennsylvania. Note: Most of eastern Pennsylvania was Philadelphia county, prior to the American Revolutionary War. Valentine Ault served as an Ensign under Captain Geiselman of the Seventh Battalion of the York county Militia. ^[1]

Valentine Ault is honored for his military service by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution as Ancestor #A003763. DAR records indicate that he died after October 31, 1826, in Belmont county, Ohio and that his wife's name was Catherine Lau. Application for membership in the Society have been made by the descendants of his sons, Peter Ault, who married Barbara Divan; George Ault, who married 1) Margaret Polly Ault and 2) Amy Ama Battin; and of his daughter, Catharine Ault, who married Henry Rose. ^[2]

Johann Peter (Ault) Alt was born on Feb. 16, 1776 in York County, Pennsylvania and died on June 22nd, 1843 in Coshocton Co. Ohio, United States. He married Barbara Ault [Divan]. Barbara, daughter of Leonard Divan and Abigal Divan, was born in 1777 in Washington County, Pennsylvania and died in 1840.
