Biography

Private Eliphalet Allen served with Col. Job Cushing's Regiment of Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Eliphalet Allen served as a Private in Capt. Abel Mason's Company, first in Col. Jonathan Holman's 14th Massachusetts Bay Provincial Regiment in 1776, then in Col. Job Cushing's Regiment, 1777. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]}

Eliphalet Allen was born on August 24, 1727 in Sherborn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. His parents were Nehemiah Allen and Mary Parker. ^{[6] [7]}

He married first Elizabeth Livermore on Feb. 8, 1753. ^{[8] [7]}

He married secondly widow Susannah Sallis on July 17, 1764. ^{[8] [7]}

Susannah died on August 1, 1766. ^[7]

He married thirdly Sabra Lee on March 12, 1767, ^{[8] [7]} who was perhaps the widow Allen whose death is recorded 4 Feb 1787.

He died on November 20, 1783 in Sturbridge, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States ^{[8] [7]} while still in the service. ^[9]
