Alexander, the youngest of eleven children of Philip Alexander and Joanna Roberts was born on 8 April 1735 at Woburn, Massachusetts.[1]

Abraham, occupation Cordwainer (Shoemaker), served during the Amreican Revolutionary War at the rank of Private, first in Capt. Joshua Walker's Company, Col. David Greene's 2nd Middlesex Regiment, which marched on the alarm of 19 April 1775,[2] and in Capt. John Wood's 5th Company, Col. Loammi Baldwin's 38th Massachusetts Bay Provincial Regiment, Continental Army,[3] and as a "matross' in Capt. Joseph Chadwick's Company, Col. Richard Gridley's Artillery Regiment.[4]
Marriage and Children
Abraham married Jerusha Thompson, the daughter of James and Abigail (Baldwin) Thompson on 4 July 1759 at Woburn, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[5] They had six children born at Woburn:

Death
Pvt. Abraham Alexander died on 9 October 1776 in his 41st year at Fort Ticonderoga, New York. Based on a military archive, Abraham died in the service of Liet. Loammi Baldwin's 38th Regiment.[15]His death entry at Burlington, Massachusetts for 1775 reads, "9 Oct Abm. Alexanders [sic] in ye army at Ticonderoga."[16][17]
